Well, after much elbow grease, I was able to reattach the second (port side) hatch support. It's a bit sticky, and you really have to heave on the hatch to get the strut in place, but it works. Also, we have figured out how the outboard motormount works. We have updated the survival kit to include all the necessary items (flares, fire extinguisher, new life jackets, maybe some charts???).
The next steps remain the same:
1) get the motor looked at
2) get the sails on
3) scrape and paint the bottom.
With our upcoming trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, discretionary income is at a premium, so for now, it'll have to wait until we get back to town at the end of Oct.
